Our Beginnings
Dave Allison began his career in Audio, Automotive Audio, Solar Power and AV Accessories as a service manager of Serex. He committed himself to specializing in this area and established Allison Audio in 1983. Since that time Dave’s expertise has expanded to white goods and even to depth locators and CCTV systems. How times evolve!
Aligning with demand, Allison Audio focused its efforts on car audio in 1990 with its association with Panasonic OEM and aftermarket electronics and also the growth in repairs provided by Pioneer, Sony and Clarion. Dave has acquired extensive and specialized knowledge and expertise in working with Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, Clarion and Sansui hardware to name just a few brands.
In 1989 Allison Audio expanded by moving from Collaroy to Brookvale. In 1997 Allison Audio purchased its current premises, allowing us to outfit a purpose built repair centre. Allison Audio also decided to trade Allison Electronic Services better reflect the greater range on products we now repair, including TV, Plasma, LCD, brown goods and many white goods. We also design and install sound reinforcement and background music systems for many schools, churches and recreational clubs,
In 2009 we became the service and parts administator for Vivax-Metrotech AUS (formerly Sebakmt AUS) and are factory trained in all aspects of service and calibration of Vivax-Metrotech locators, and CCTV underground systems and locating equipment. In 2012 we became involved in designing, programming and installing IP based PA and control systems.
